If the finished solid metal signet ring needs a slight size adjustment either up or down, to a maximum of 3 sizes either way, we will do this free of charge. Alteration is at the discretion of the jeweller and depends on the size of the ring. Please return to us within 28 days of receipt.

For stone set signet rings, we will arrange a fitting date to try on the ring before the stone is set. The approved finger size not adjustable once the signet ring has been completed.

The Era Oval Signet Ring

Harking back to a bygone era, these three banded oval designed rings are a modern twist on antique Romanesque signet rings. Made to order in either platinum, 9ct, 14ct and 18ct yellow, rose and white gold. Each Rebus signet ring is beautifully presented in a gift box with the wax impression of your unique seal engraved design and a stick of sealing wax, so you can create your own wax seals at home.

The History of Seal-engraving

Throughout history, the application of a personalised seal onto sealing wax has been a symbol of approval from kings and queens, popes and politicians, tradespeople and more.

Hand-engraved with the same traditional techniques used by Rebus craftsmen today, seals traditionally depicted a coat of arms, family crest, monogram or significant symbol, unique to the user. The seal was, and continues to be, a unique and highly bespoke representation of the wearer.
